Head 18 meters underground into the original workings of Ron Canlin’s opal mine.
Walk through drives, step into ball rooms, see opal in the roof and be amazed by the work that goes into being an opal miner.
You’ll be guided through the mine with one of our local opal miners who will give you a unique insight into their opal mining experience and teach you all that you need to know about opal and mining.
Hear the stories of the hard-working old timers and see their hand sunk shafts and 100 year old belly drives.
